I'm Andrew Monge, and I run Empire Tree Care with my father. He has more than 20 years in the gardening and tree industry. I watched him work my whole life, and about 7 years ago I joined him. We've worked side by side ever since.

I was born and raised in Pasadena, lived in Glendale, and now live in Arcadia.

What we care about is proper tree care. That means trimming, pruning and, when it's really needed, removal, all done the right way and never butchering a tree. With the right knowledge and attention, a tree can stay strong and beautiful for generations.

We speak Spanish, so you can talk the job through in either language.

Healthy trees make healthy neighborhoods. We take pride in caring for the trees that make the cities around us special, the ones that give your street its shade, cleaner air and its good looks.

Every property gets treated with respect, and every tree gets the care it deserves. As a father and son, we want to leave a good mark on the places we work and help keep these cities green for the families who come after us.

How a job goes, from the first call to cleanup

It starts with a phone call. We talk through what your trees need and what you have in mind. Then we set a time to come out, look the trees over in person, check for anything that could be a hazard, and work out what the job needs.

Next you get a detailed quote that lists the work and the total cost. If you say yes, we write up a service agreement with the work, the price and the date, and we both sign it. Everything is on paper before anyone picks up a saw, and the price I quote is the price you pay.

On the day, we show up ready to work and treat your property with care. When the job is done, we clean up and walk the yard with you. You know what's happening at every step, and the trees get done right.
